I have been thinking about how to deal with this category since Anime Vice's wiki pages aren't written from the source material whereas most Animanga Wikia do. When we have adaptation differences which involves characters dying in the source material but survive in the adaptations or vice versa

We need to vote:

1. Whether to abolish the category and removed it and create a section in story arcs for those adaptation differences

2. Create another category to differentiate between adaptations for deceased

3. Have the Deceased category count for a death in either source or adaptation. IE: if a character dies in the source or adaptation, it will count for either or both

Since we are still transferring while making new content, we don't have a list of what our best wiki pages like in the old site when we had FoxxFireArt's community spotlight. All that data is lost. We have to make a new list for us to spotlight on the front page.

I'm having concerns with this category that Aggression25 had started in labeling different hair colors. There could be some conflicts.

Limited Colors: Should we limit the colors just to regular or shades of colors?

Should we include blonde, brunette, and black which are common hair colors not belonging in unreal anime hair color?

Naming Consistency: Aggression25 is doing "Characters with Blue Hair" while I did "Blue Haired Characters" out of consistency with pre-existing categories: Characters, Female Characters, Deceased Characters.

I want to know what we are allowed to say or ask about whatever characters we want to talk or ask about. Are we allowed to question what-if scenarios and such?

Mike and SnowyMountain have discussing ideas about new category pages. I realized Anime Vice Wikia hasn't had a huge emphasis on categories. I'm not sure where to begin. I'm not much of a category person. I'm more an article and image editor. We will make a category style guide to encompass all the categories especially from the image policy thread we have. That way, we are more organized.

Please leave suggestions. Thank you.

Let me know if you guys and gals have any ideas for improving the quote box. Right now, I'm transferring the bulk of my teammates and mine wiki projects, the episode summaries. I finished Attack on Titan and starting on Akame ga Kill b/c of Toonami's recent premiere this August 2015. Example: Akame ga Kill Ep 2

I can change and adapt new stuff to the quote box especially new images. The Gdocs image links are dead. That's why I haven't uploaded images in quote boxes until we find a template or table that can use images.

I was thinking about this because the infoboxes in both sections distort our list of episodes and volumes. I have to use Clear or add a lot of text. However, the bulk of our text is usually concentrated in the franchise main page.

If we do omit the infoboxes, I can extend and make the franchise infobox longer without fear of pushing things. That's the problem with Wikias compared to the old Anime Vice. Our infoboxes in Anime Vice never interferes with the wiki articles.

I was concerned on how we can handle franchises with our current tab system. A tab system makes sub pages of a wiki page. It's quite convenient system to link a franchise page as the hub to the lists of episodes, films, manga series, and films. When you have franchises like Fairy Tail, Sword Art Online, and Fate Stay Night with multiple spin-offs, I realized I can't stick more than one infobox.

Trying to maintain consistency and a way to organize this, I think our sub pages are quite limited. I was thinking of making a separate page for significant spin-offs such as Illya's series (FSN) that has manga and anime adaptations. For Fairy Tail spin-offs, there are only manga spin-offs right now, so I won't make a separate page for it.

My solution is flawed right now.

I was discussing with Taka if it would be better to relocate the Origin section so it is directly before the Major Story Arcs section, like this:

1. Creation
2. Character Evolution
3. Origin
4. Major Story Arcs
5. Powers & Abilities
6. Other Media
7. References

My reason to suggest this is that, for me, it makes more sense to have the Origin and Major Story Arcs sections together, since they both tell the characters' history (from their past, to what they have done in the last Story Arc in which they have participated). Other wikis also do the same (but with different names for the sections).

On the other hand, the reasons for keeping the Origin section at the beginning of the article include:

• "The original style guide was to put the backstory and then the inspirations for that character since those two aren't really available for most characters except for the recurring characters".
• "When getting introduced a new character from a franchise, the first thing readers would want to know what is the backstory of the character".
• "Reason why we have origin and creation together is because these are written in past tense. Story arcs and evolution are written in present tense".

Taka, I used your exact quotes to avoid any misinterpretation of your points.

Original Discussion

I got some suggestions and help from PIkaHyper and Mike. I transfer the index system from To Hollywood and Beyond Wikia. It will make the categories an automated index system.

• Characters

• Franchises

For categories, I'm suggesting we use these.

• Years - After testing it out, the sub pages for anime and manga will have years installed. I don't think franchises should have years on them.

• Genres - Only franchises will have genre categories on them.

• Companies - Only sub manga and anime pages will have them.

Example: A-1 Pictures and Bridge will be added Fairy Tail's anime subpage.

I'll install index system on them. Please suggest any category ideas. Thank you.

I was wondering if we could have a "recommended" way to make references (specifically from anime, manga and light novel series), so users don't make what they want with it. Maybe it could be something like this:

Name of the series (Type of media) - Episode/Volume/Chapter #, comment (optional).

Examples:

1. Bleach (Anime) - Episode 226, Harribel's number is revealed.
2. One Piece (Manga) - Vol. 77, Koala's height is revealed in a SBS page.

Note: for series that have various names, always use the one that is used in the AV wiki. If the series name is too long, abbreviations or shorter aliases are allowed.

Also I want to ask, for info that comes from twitter accounts and official websites, should we always include a link to the site or is it going to be something optional? For example:

1. Triage X Official Anime Website.

If the link is included, is it have to be the exact URL where we got the info or the site's home page?
