Lance Corporal Levi is one of the top soldiers in the Scouting Legion.
Overview[]
Deep in the underground caverns beneath the Royal Capital, Levi and his friends, Isabel and Furlan, were on the run from soldiers who were after them for stealing the 3D Maneuver Gear. [2]
Creation[]
Levi is created by Hajime Isayama. According to Hikaru Suruga, he/or she was told to design Levi a bit younger for the spin-off series, Attack on Titan No Regrets. Hikaru noted that he/or she was nervous in designing the character in order to preserve the original character from the original series, but Hikaru had fun drawing the character. At times, Hikaru was worried about what expression should Levi have at different scenes. [3]

Appearance[]
He has black hair that is combed sideways and sharp blue eyes that look quite intimidating. The back of his head is a buzz cut style. He is 160 cm tall and weighs 65 kg.
Personality[]
Levi is a man of discipline who holds great respect for order and structure but also abhors authoritative organizations and sects, particularly the Military Police and the Wallists, often degrading them and openly stating his resentment.
He seems obsessed with cleanliness as demonstrated when he detests having his hands stained by Titan blood. However, he will gladly grab a dying soldier's hand. Although he often tends to put up a cold demeanour, he greatly values human life and has a strong sense of honor when he listens to a soldier's last words.
Levi is also shown to have a sadistic side. When the Scouting Legion had captured The Female Titan, he taunts her saying that he would enjoy "cutting off her limbs from her human body" and "have fun" seeing her suffer. In addition, Levi is quite merciless and ruthless when killing Titans, always keeping up his cold and callous expression.
Story Arcs[]
After Eren reverted back from his Titan form and became surrounded by a horde of Titans, Levi shows up, after returning from the Scouting Legion's expedition, and easily kills them, rescuing an unconscious Eren and his teammate.
